Africa
• Assisted an American company serving as purchasing and shipping agent for two African governments for U.S. Department of Agriculture PL 480 commodities program.
• Introduced American popcorn, used juke boxes and used clothing into the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
• Participated in the establishment of a company distributing American pharmaceutical products.
• Agent for American companies exporting rice and poultry products to Africa.
• Secured a USAID-financed feasibility study for an American reconstituted milk plant in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Asia
• Invested in and expanded operations for a furniture company in the Philippines for products exported to the United States and Europe
• Secured a contract in Vietnam for a Venezuelan manufacturer of electrical bus bar systems.
• Assisted in the founding of a glass restoration company in Singapore serving the architectural and building construction markets.
• Served as marketing adviser to British NGO operating in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
• Participated in annual trade show held in Malaysia for architectural building products.
• Conducted market survey in Cambodia on behalf of a Singapore company distributing a high-quality European line of cosmetic products.
• Enabled an established American educational consulting firm to enter into a cooperative arrangement with a major bank in Cambodia for the purpose of recruiting students for study in the United States.
United States
• Established a specialty retail store operating in five states for the sale of imported furniture and accessories.
• Established a furniture importing company whose primary clients were interior designers, architects and contract specifiers. Furniture sourced from the Philippines, Thailand and Bali.
• Established regional distribution for an American manufacturer of reactive acid-based stains used primarily to color concrete floors.
